About Us
Hatch Group is dedicated to providing safe, nurturing, and trauma-informed care to children and young people within our residential services. We are committed to creating environments where every child has the opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive.
We are seeking a Part-Time Clinical Psychologist to join our team and play a pivotal role in embedding psychological insight and therapeutic practice into the heart of our services.
The Role
As a Clinical Psychologist with Hatch Group, you will:
- Undertake comprehensive psychological assessments, formulations, and recommendations.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions (e.g. CBT, DBT, trauma-informed approaches) to support children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
- Provide consultation, training, and reflective practice sessions for residential staff, strengthening therapeutic understanding and resilience across teams.
- Ensure safeguarding and clinical risk management remain at the centre of practice.
- Contribute to the development and evaluation of trauma-informed care frameworks across our services.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent recognised by HCPC).
- HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
- Experience working therapeutically with children/young people, ideally in residential or looked-after settings.
- Strong knowledge of child development, attachment theory, trauma, and safeguarding.
- Excellent communication, consultation, and report-writing skills.
- Familiarity with the PACE model.
Desirable:
- Experience in delivering staff training or reflective practice.
- Knowledge of CBT, DBT, systemic, or other relevant therapeutic models.
- Background in service development or quality improvement.
Personal Qualities
We are looking for someone who is:
- Compassionate and committed to improving the lives of children and young people.
- Flexible, resilient, and able to work under pressure.
- Skilled at building trust and positive relationships with children, families, and staff teams.
- Reflective, transparent, and aligned with Hatch Group's values of care, safety, and excellence.
What We Offer
- A supportive, collaborative team environment.
- Opportunities for professional development, CPD, and clinical supervision.
- A pro rata salary of £24,000 - £37,500, benchmarked against similar children's residential psychology roles across the Midlands and reflective of NHS Band 8a/8b and independent sector posts.
- The chance to make a meaningful impact on children's lives within an organisation committed to therapeutic excellence.
